The security system has proved itself to be a necessity throughout history. Ever since there has been a need to secure property, homes or lands, the security system has been used to protect belongings in a wide variety of applications. Advancing technology has made security systems much more high-tech, but in many instances, security systems use an ingenious combination of old security concepts and new technology. For example, many homeowners today choose to arm their houses with security systems that will alert them of intruders or other possible harms. However, many still choose to add an extra measure of protection by placing a dowel or piece of wood in their sliding glass door. This is an old-fashioned approach to security, physically barring the door from being opened. However, since it has proven effective many times over, it is still something that is used now, and will probably be used well into the future.
