New Tamron lens series seeks to get the most out of mega-pixel surveillance cameras
At the ASIS 2007 conference in Las Vegas, Tamron showed off its new 1/3-format Mega-pixel-compatible Vari-Focal Lens series. The new collection of lenses is designed to get optimum performance out of mega-pixel network cameras. By "maximum performance," we're talking about high-resolution, high-contrast images with consistent sharpness across the focal plane.
The lenses come in 2.4-6mm F/1.2, 3-8mm F/1.0, and 5-50mm F/1.4 models, each employing innovative optical technology to maximum mega-pixel camera effectiveness. Most notable is the high-quality resolution the lenses provide for image corners that are often compromised with conventional lenses.
